Shooting Ranges in the Pikes Peak Area

The Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition strongly encourages all firearm owners to practice regularly with your firearm. Following is a list of shooting ranges and clubs in the Pikes Peak area. It is recommended that you contact the range/club for latest information before going out.

Dragon Arms (719) 683-2200 Location: 1250 Dragonman Dr (Go east on Colorado Hwy 94 off US 24 about 2 miles east of Powers Blvd. At second traffic light, turn north on Curtis Road. Dragonman Dr will be first left).
Cost: $10 for all day and $8 for each additional shooter.
Hours: 0930 - 1630 (may be closed on Mondays - call first)
Facilities: Pistol and rifle with benches and rests, skeet, shotgun
Remarks: Has a range officer on duty. Also has a paint ball park open on Saturdays and Sundays - other days by reservation. Can rent fully automatic firearms.
Frontier Sportsman's Club

Cost: Membership dues are $100 initiation and $75 per year

Remarks: Membership only club.  Contact for information or see website.  Holds CMP matches on the 2nd Sunday of the month starting at 8:00AM.

Location: 22646 County Road 101 - Ramah
Cost: Members and guests only ($100 initiation, $50 annual)

Facilities: There are over a dozen ranges available for use by club members. These include 10 handgun ranges, a 100/200/300 yard high power rifle range, a 100 yard covered practice range, and a sporting clays tower. Affiliated clubs also use part of the facility for special events.
Remarks: The Ben Lomond Gun Club owns and operates a 560 acre shooting facility in Elbert County. The facility is located 45 miles from Castle Rock, 47 miles from Parker, or 43 miles from Colorado Springs.

Membership is through club chapters. Currently, there are chapters in Colorado Springs, Elizabeth, Ellicott, Tri-Lakes (Monument), and Franktown. See BLGC Website for more info.

     West:  4750 Pearce Palace Pt, Colorado Springs (Indoor range off Elkton Drive north of Garden of the Gods Road)
Cost:  See the WPGC website for details. There is a one-time initiation fee and monthly dues.
Hours:  Tuesday - Saturday: 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Sunday: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Facilities:  These are indoor ranges with multiple lanes.  There are also classrooms, store, etc.

Cactus Flats Shooting Range (719) 372-3600 Location:  4612 County Rd 123, Penrose, CO (take road to Brush Hollow Reservoir off Hwy 115 in Penrose)
Cost:  Varies
Hours:  Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 11:00am to Dusk
Facilities:  Trap, Skeet, 25/50 yd Cartridge, Muzzleloading
Remarks:  Call to verify hours.
